CSOSA's Office of Research and Evaluation (ORE) provides agency-wide evaluation, performance management, and operations analysis support. With a staff of statisticians, program analysts, and management analysts, ORE is also responsible for conducting research studies of the relationship between supervision and treatment interventions and targeted outcomes. ORE is responsible for:

  • conducting process evaluations of supervision and treatment interventions;
  • validating the efficacy of screening assessment tools utilizing rigorous scientific methodology;
  • designing and enhancing mandated performance measurement reporting and monitoring protocols;
  • delivering analytical decision-support to supervision managers;
  • providing expert subject matter support to local and federal criminal justice partner agencies;
  • conducting empirical studies of the nexus between supervision and treatment interventions and successful reintegration;
  • delivering presentations professional social, behavioral, and public health association on findings from evidence-based program evaluation and outcome studies.
